Co-opted Governor Opportunity – Chester-le-Street CE Primary School
Chester-le-Street CE Primary School is seeking a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our Governing Body as a Co-opted Governor.
As part of our school team, you’ll help shape the strategic direction of the school, support our leadership, and make a real difference in the lives of our children and community.
We are proud to be a caring, inclusive, and forward-thinking Church of England primary school where every child is encouraged to achieve their best in a nurturing environment rooted in our Christian values.
What does the role involve?

Attending around six governing body meetings per year (usually evenings).

Working as part of a team to support and challenge the school leadership.

Helping to ensure that all pupils receive the best possible education.

Using your skills, experience, and insight to strengthen our school community.
Who are we looking for?
You don’t need to have experience in education – we welcome applications from all backgrounds. What matters most is enthusiasm, commitment, and a desire to make a difference. Skills in areas such as finance, HR, data analysis, education, or community work would be especially valuable.
