Enhanced Teaching Assistant
Grade 5 £20,444 – £22,571 pro rata

Chester- le-Street Primary and Nursery School is a GOOD School, Ofsted 2021. The successful candidate MUST be passionate about neurodiverse pupils.

We require a caring, compassionate and versatile practitioner to work in our neurodiverse unit. Our current School based classroom has 12 pupils with varying needs. The Class is led by our excellent SENCO, supported by a highly qualified team of Teaching Assistants, who are all passionate about supporting children who learn differently.
We offer our pupils a bespoke learning environment and tailored curriculum within an environment which caters for their individual needs including cooking facilities, sensory area and a new highly supportive outdoor area.

We can offer high quality CPD, a caring team who support each other and work together towards a common goal as well as happy, caring children who love, care and nurture each other to ensure everyone within our setting succeeds.

Where our roles are customer facing and you are required to speak to members of the public, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. As a disability confident employer, we are committed to employing disabled people and people with health conditions making reasonable adjustments to support disabled applicants when required.

Visits to the school are welcomed and will give you an opportunity to meet our wonderful children.
